Sandwiched in prayer are some really practical tips and I think the only thing I might add is that it's important to keep checking in with the person. Even if the child or adult is out of the hospital, there are few Lifetime For TV movie endings. Sometimes the disease process or rehabilitation takes more than the 6 week attention span that most of us have.
