In the Bleak Midwinter

In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, long ago.

Our God, Heaven cannot hold Him, nor earth sustain;
Heaven and earth shall flee away when He comes to reign.
In the bleak midwinter a stable place sufficed
The Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ.

Enough for Him, whom cherubim, worship night and day,
Breastful of milk, and a mangerful of hay;
Enough for Him, whom angels fall before,
The ox and ass and camel which adore.

Angels and archangels may have gathered there,
Cherubim and seraphim thronged the air;
But His mother only, in her maiden bliss,
Worshipped the beloved with a kiss.

What can I give Him, poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a Wise Man, I would do my part;
Yet what I can I give Him: give my heart.

From my own personal dog psychologist:
1. put a little bell on the door you use to take Millie out to do her business.
2. EVERY TIME you take her out, YOU ring the bell as you go out the door, saying "Let's go, Millie!"
3. when you get her where she's supposed to do it, say "Millie! Get Busy!
4. when she does, say "GOOD GIRL, MILLIE!

Eventually, MILLIE will ring the bell when she needs to go out.

But you gotta do it every time...y'know...like reading 4 story books before bed, a glass of water, and a kiss on the forehead.

The routine. Important to Millie.

ain't life grand?

I'm thinking you need to move back to Washington, Rebecca. There's a house right up the street for sale.

I am praying that Millie starts acting like the "wise" dog she is and starts "doing her part"......outside!

I have to say, Terri, that she is a smart dog--she already knows how to play "fetch" with one of Bill's old socks. She is full of energy and fun to watch race around the house. I'll work on getting more pictures up!
