Annie Files

Well, we were headed out the door of Children's this morning when Annie threw up. And the labs they drew this morning showed that she was dehydrated. So, we're here until a. She stops throwing up, or b. She stops having 20 seizures a day, or c. She perks up, or d. All of the above.

It's oddly comforting to know that the Really Smart doctors are as confounded with these problems as we are. But, we'll keep asking, seeking and knocking until Someone opens the door. My favorite quote from this week is from her neurologist, "I'm a physician, but I'm not the Great Physician."

Jean

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

Philippians 4:6&7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NASB) Such familiar verses....but just the other day the part about God's unfathomable peace guarding our hearts and our minds just jumped out at me. Praying for healing for Annie, wisdom for the wise doctors (wise enough to recognize they are not the Great Physician), and God's peace to guard your hearts and minds. It is so necessary in these bewildering times.

Sending hugs and prayers early this morning. Praise God Annie DOES have the Great Physician watching over her! Will pray for His special care over her at this time. And glad that at least the problem occurred BEFORE you had left the hospital.

Amen to you, Terri & Sue. I am very impressed with the humility of her doctors--and so glad Annie displayed her "issues" before we hit the door!

We feel your prayers!

May His mercies be new each moment, Jean. And, you can bet, I'm still praying for a miraculous healing. (((hugs)))gretchen
