When autumn leaves start to fall...

Last night Bill and I made the huge mistake of watching an old video of Annie from a couple years back--of her singing and talking and walking and dancing--whatever possessed us to do that? But then we watched a video of her from about a year ago, with that blank stare she used to have and seeing the changes she's had since then cheered us up somewhat. Even in the last month or so, with all the new words, God continues His work of healing in her. Just think--in June she was so plagued with seizures, and now that's a distant memory, too.

It seems that just like the trees lose their leaves and seem so barren and lifeless through the winter, yet begin to bud again in spring, Annie is blossoming into a new little creation. Slowly but surely.

Still working on that video. I need deadlines.

Jean

"When the trees their summer splendor
Change to raiment red and gold,
When the summer moon turns mellow,
And the nights are getting cold;
When the squirrels hide their acorns,
And the woodchucks disappear;
Then we know that it is autumn,
Loveliest season of the year."

Hmmm I wrote a comment but it does not seem to be here so will try again.

How difficult it must have been for you to watch the old video. But good for you for then watching the later one and focusing on God's healing and Annie's progress. I will continue to pray for all of you!

She IS a new creation. And so are we, day by day. I grieve for you and praise Him for you.

BTW, I do want a video, but here's a secret: I'll still come back w/o one.

My dtr enjoyed getting to play w/Annie as the 4/5s were combined last Sunday. She's praying, Jean. As am I.

Thanks for your faithful prayers, Sue & Gretchen. And thanks, too, for your daughter's prayers--when I hear from people that their kids pray for Annie, that is SO encouraging. When Bill was sick, there was a 10-year-old girl who prayed for him every night. What a faith-builder it was when God healed him, (8 years ago on October 28th) and she was able to say, "God answered MY prayers!"

Oh for sure, Jean... the prayers of kids are so valuable! They haven't learned yet to doubt Him. :) And yah what Gretchen said... I would love to see a video but I'll still come back without one too. :)

Jean, I was really amazed when I saw Annie yesterday! She is really looking well... so much of the "puffiness" is gone and her alertness was great to see... looking around all over the place at everyone. PTL.

Hi ya,

You may think that Annie is making progress slowly, but to those of us who periodically check in here, it seems she is improving at a good pace. God is good!

By the way, I totally agree with you on the Congress/Wall Street mess. GAH!!

I see light in them thar eyes! (Hope you speak southernese) What a difference! Charly and I definitely need an "Annie/Olivia fix!) Thank you so much for all the faithful updates and sharing........and the pix, of course! Do I see red hair? (The top new picture reminds me of Charly as a toddler.)
Continuing love and prayers,

Hi Terri--yes, I see Charly in that top photo too--I'm afraid that Annie's hair isn't as red as Charly's though...but it is coming back a little after the keto diet when it would fall out every time I'd brush it.

Susan--thanks for checking in & for your encouraging words. I need them!
