First day back to school! Let's wait in the garage until the bus comes.
Still waiting...
The bus finally arrives:
Annie's nurse gets off the bus to help load her in:
Annie gets on the bus:
Annie leaves on the bus:
After I follow Annie to school to drop off all her supplies, I see this sign outside her classroom.
I don't get it.
Okay, I did follow the nurse as she wheeled Annie into her classroom. She just lit up when she saw all her friends from last year, and said "Hi!" as she looked around at all of them. It was cool to see how much she enjoys school. She was exhausted when she got home, but was raring to go back at it this morning.

I remember taking Avery to K'garten orientation (I was an "older" mom): the young mom behind me in line was bawling. "Is this your first child going to school?" I asked. (duh.) "Yes," she blubbered. I just put my arm around her shoulders and smiled.
The boys graduated together years later. She was bawling - again!
I don't get it.

Our school had a "Ya-hoo/ Boo-hoo Breakfast" for all the moms whose kids started kindergarten...... some of course are sad and already missing their kids, some are excited at the freedom. I was a little of both camps. Only went to the one for Jennifer - definitely sad as she was my last kid starting school. And now she's in third grade....Wow! Lisa
Great Blog! Love the pics! Sounds like you both are going to have a great year!
So glad she is enjoying school. She certainly looks more alert in these later photos. Prayers for you.

Thank you so much for these pictures...she's a princess for sure. This is quite a nice change in the routine - having a bus with her very own escort! Woo Hoo!!!
This will be a very good year for y'all :)
Such an exciting day!!! Thanks for sharing. You and your daughter give all of us strength. Lana C. at www.findinglana.blogspot.com
YAY Annie! Good for her being a little social bug!
We did tea and tissues at D and J's old school. I think there are actually some of us who are hangers-on. ;) Though, I do enjoy the 6 hour block of kid free time on Thur!
