Annie's Memorial Service

Please accept our invitation to join us next Saturday, April 2, 2011, to celebrate Annie's brief, but very full life. The service will begin at 11 AM, at Northlake Christian Church, 19029 North Road, Bothell, WA 98012. A reception will follow.

I need to tell you how comforting your comments have been. It's quiet around here today--no medicines to prepare, no little Miss Muffet to hold...but your love and prayers help us bear the load of grief.

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Just in case no one has told you yet, you have permission. Permission to be still; breathe deeply; hold your boys, Olivia and eachother; not answer the phone; not respond to text messges; to cry randomly; to cry deeply; to smell blankies and cuddle toys; to be proud of all you've done, how hard you fought, the daily battles that were won; to ask why; to laugh at old photos; to cherish.

Love you guys-

Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers. Even though we don't know you in person, our hearts are deeply sad for your loss. Your faith in God and his plan for Annie's life is an inspiration to so many. Jeremiah 29:11

You are not alone in your sorrow- but no one will be able to carry it as you do. I wish there were words. I am so sorry for your loss. Annie is a testament to what a wonderful family you are.

We should remind everyone who wants to come up from the south that 405 will be closed through Bellevue all next weekend and that they can take I-5 to 164th.

Jean, Bill and all -- You continue to be on my heart and in my prayers frequently. I am so sorry Annie's healing came about in the way it did but I am glad I will be able to celebrate her life with you on Saturday. Annie has blessed so many lives in her own short one. You are so loved.
