chron·ic (kron'ik)

adj.
Of long duration. Used of a disease of slow progress and long continuance.

Annie was gaggy last night at only 15 ml./hr. of pedialyte into her jejunum. Then this morning, she seemed better, and after awhile, the rate was increased to 30 ml./hr.

Then she threw up.

Hi you guys,

I am sooo sorry about all the set backs. I really appreciate the updates. Even though you have not heard much from me I have been paying attention and praying right along. Just curious. Has anyone said the words fundo plication to you? I am not suggesting one (or not); I just wondered.

Love,
Terri W
PS Ironicly, the word verification I have to type looks like a scrambled version of regurgitate. Not very funny at this point. Maybe we will laugh later.

Thanks for all the updates. I have praying for Annie and your family since I got Jean's email. Let me know if I can help in any way. I would love to bring your family dinner.

May God continue to give you the strength, faith, and peace you need during this challenging time.

Please give Annie a hug for me!

Hi Terri--Thanks for keeping up with us, and for your prayers. :) We haven't heard anyone talk about a fundoplication...yet. I've read about it, and I don't know if that's another thing we want to add to the pot. But if she doesn't make progress, I'm sure it'll come up. (No pun intended.)
The doc just thinks that because she's out of practice, it'll take awhile for her body to keep things down. I really wonder how she can keep things down when they feed her constantly--who wants to have food pumped into their gut 24/7? I'd throw up too!! It's a tough situation, and one that has no easy fix.

Sarah--Thanks so much for praying for us--and your offer to bring food to us. I think we're okay for now...but I will let you know when/if we need a meal. :)
