Tomorrow's the big day! . . . Maybe.
Annie did really well last night, sleeping all night from 9:00 to 6:30. Unfortunately, when she got her 7:00 medicines she threw them up, along with most of the food she had been getting in her tummy all night. She then threw up again at 9:00 and around 11:30. She's been ok since, and she is back on her feeds. However, if she is still throwing up tomorrow, they won't let us go home. Please pray that Annie does well with her feeds tonight, and that she is able to hold her food and her medicine down more consistently than she's done so far.
Around noon today, Annie had a video swallow test where her speech therapist Tiffany gave her barrium laced pudding then they x-rayed how she swallowed. They the tested how she did with liquids. Annie passed both tests! This means that as she tolerates it, we can work with her on puree's and liquids to help her to re-learn eating. No solid foods, but this is a start! I promise not to steal any of Annie's chocolate pudding.
So a big day tomorrow. Her bed is getting delivered before noon, and Jean and I still need to be trained on a couple of things. If all goes well, we should all be home tomorrow evening.
I have created a blog to continue to journal Annie's progress. Once we get home, we'll update that on a weekly basis, with lots of pictures! I created it on Google's blog program Blogspot, so you will be able to register to be notified every time the journal is updated (similar to Caring Bridge) and will also be able to write notes as you've been doing on this site. The address of her blog is www.annaleesullivan.blogspot.com. If you go there now, it looks pretty plain, but I'll have it all pretty'd up by this weekend!
We'll update again tomorrow on this site to let you know how/if homecoming goes.
Tomorrow will be Annie's 52nd day in the hospital. You have all stood by us in prayer and good deeds. We are eternally grateful.

So you are about to go home to your beautiful new yellow bedroom! Yippee for you. I am still praying that God will make you all well soon! Please tell your Mommie and Daddy I am praying for them as they learn all the new things they need to do to take good care of you! I am glad you have so many people who love you, including ME! :) Hope you had a good night last night and you will be able to keep stuff on your tummy without it all coming back up... ewwww, no fun, huh?!??

We continue to pray for your healing as a family (Alex too!). We know God is working on, in, and through you and we're praying for a soon-homecomming!
To the family of Annie, my family and I consider ourselves members of Northlake Christian Church despite the fact we are not regular attendees. I’m not on regular communications with God, but I have and will continue to pray for Annie’s recovery. As I am the father of 3 girls, I cannot comprehend the depth of emotions the family has and will continue to go through. So I prey… I prey for strength for the family to continue this journey. I also give thanks to God for providing us with truly amazing bodies and their ability to heal and adapt from great trauma.
I firmly believe that Annie will have great gifts that will be born of this challenge. On a personnel level Annie has inspired me to communicate with God, which frankly has not been a regular part of my life. So Annie is already doing great things in her life!
Please know that as you prepare to bring Annie home and begin a new chapter in Annie’s complete recovery that we that will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

You are all in my continual thoughts and prayers. I am so thankful for your updates and website communication as it's become part of my morning/evening ritual to check in and see how you are all doing. It's nice to have the specific prayer requests and to feel like we are there with you praying by Annie's side. Annie, may you be at peace tonight as you are in your own home surrounded by your loving family. Know that there are so many of us praying for you and cheering you on through your healing. Thank you for sharing this step in your lives with all of us.

Hey- just a note to say that I am definitely praying for you guys tonite. I know you are grateful and anxious about bringing Annie home and I pray a supernatural peace on you Jean and Bill and that Annie will be more relaxed and easier to care for at home than ever imagined. Seeing her siblings more often and having a quieter space will be so helpful in her healing. God be with you as you enter this next chapter of what will be and already is Princess Annie's book of Healing. Sleep well tonite knowing that God doesn't give us more than we can handle-although it seems He likes to keep us on the edge, totally trusting only Him at every turn. Have peace, breath deeply and continue your journey with a renewed spirit-God is not finished yet and His ideas are greater than we can even think to ask for.
