Twenty-six years ago today, Bill and I were saying "I do" in the prayer room at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa. Time flies when you're having fun, huh? We are thankful for God's blessing on us and our kids, and pray for 26 more years--at least--together.

Annie is still having trouble sleeping. I feel like a zombie this morning. The doctor said to let him know if the sleep med doesn't work. I should e-mail him a picture of me sitting here now and he could see for himself how well it's working.

Monday we went to the ophthamologist at Children's. He said her recovery was remarkable. I told him that many people prayed for Annie, and God has healed her eyesight. He talked about how the brain has the capacity to recover function after brain injury--and my thought (in the elevator leaving the hospital, of course) was: "Who invented That?"

So, as we continue to knock on heaven's door, my good friend, Gretchen, who frequently posts encouraging comments here, has offered to schedule a prayer day for Annie this Friday, the 21st. It's the 8-month mark since her initial seizure. If you'd like to join in, go to www.gretchen-quantumleap.blogspot.com and sign up in the space below Annie's story. I know you all having been so faithful in your prayers for her, but Friday you can feel like you're at a concert of prayer.

Jean

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. James 5:16

Many blessings to you and Bill! (You must be a saint, Jean!) (Oh! Does Bill read these, too?? Oops!)

Chatted with Dr. Russ today: he's expecting your call on Friday. Go ahead, a picture speaks a thousand words!

Friday it is! A concert to God's ears and heart!
Hear our prayer, O Lord;
Hear our prayer, O Lord.
Incline Thine ear to us,
and grant us Thy peace.

Praising God for healing so many of Annie's functions and for all those He will continue to heal. My Friday schedule is hectic so I could not commit to a specific time to pray but I did sign up and I will be praying especially on Friday!! Thanks, Gretchen, for setting this up!

James 5:16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Lord - Thank you for the faithfulness of a few. My prayer today is that You will urge as many as will come and join with Greatchen (and the rest of us) in prayer for Your little girl. I ask You to hear our prayers and accept them as sweet smelling aromas. I specifically ask that Your Holy Spirit give us exactly the right words that would bring about the physical healing in Annie we so desire.

We're all sinners, saved only by the blood of Christ. We're all in need of healing in one way or another. But we come boldly with one purpose at this time, knowing that we have direct access to You through Your Son.

Lord, cause Your Spirit to infiltrate the hearts of many in petition for Annie's healing. A petition that we unselfishly ask. A petition for hope; a petition for Your mercy; a petition for Your power; a petiton of love.

Lord, with everything that is within our hearts, searchable only by You, we ask it all in Your Son's precious name,,,

Hi. I can't figure out how to sign up for a time. But...I did want you to know that I before I fell asleep last night, I again prayed for Annie...and all of you. And, I'm praying now, it's 12:30.
The concert continues...
love,
Beth

I did figure out how to sign up...as I was praying. I prayed while also reading Daniel 3, where Shadrach, Messhack and Abednego were delivered. I love the part of the verse that says, "...there is no other god who is able to deliver in this way".
Amen.
